Day 1
Welcome to Rome! Upon arrival at the airport (FCO or CIA), a driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Our guide will greet you at the hotel and provide all the necessary information. In the evening we’ll arrange a transfer to the Trastevere neighborhood, a great introduction to Rome.Next we’ll travel on coach through the Parisian suburbs to the splendid Palace of Versailles, residence of the royal family until the start of the revolution in 1789. We’ll return to Paris in the evening. After dinner you may want to avail yourself of the optional cruise along the river Seine. Tips:Effective January 1, 2018, we will take a stop at Eiffel Tower right after L’Hotel National des Invalides. You can either take time to explore the neighborhood and have some lunch or scale the Eiffel Tower. Choice is yours.
Day 2
In the morning, we’ll have a scenic tour of the Eternal City of Rome! First we’ll visit the tiny state of the Vatican, the principal center of the Catholic church. Here we’ll see the world famous St. Peter’s Basilica. Next up, we’ll travel to the Roman Colosseum, the iconic symbol of Rome. This impressive construction dates back 2,000 years and will transport us back in time to learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire. In the evening we’ll head to the Via Cavour area, where you’ll find dozens of cuisines to choose from for a romantic evening dinner in Rome (own expense)
Day 3
On Day 3 we’ll say farewell to Rome and head north. Our journey is graced with beautiful landscapes as we arrive in Florence, where we’ll head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, one of the most impressive sites in the city. In the evening we take a tour with a local expert and walk through the historic center, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Plaza della Signoria. We’ll have free time here to explore on our own and a stunning collection of restaurants to choose from.
Day 4
Today we’ll enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains before arriving in Venice. Here we will board a Vapporetto to travel around on the canals in the historic center. With a local guide, we will visit the marvelous Plaza de San Marcos and enter the marvelous basilica. Afterwards, we we’ll visit the island city of Murano, which is known for its marvelous glass blowing industry. In the late afternoon, you will have the chance to eat dinner in the Mestre area, where you can choose the from a wide selection of fine restaurants (own expense).
Day 5

Day 6
We will breakfast at the hotel, then make our way to Bonn, the former capital of West Germany. There we will visit Beethoven House and University of Bonn, then head to Cologne to see the iconic Cologne Cathedral, followed by a stroll along the shopping street Schildergasse. Our final destination on Day 6 is Amsterdam Next you’ll see the famous Trevi Fountain, the lavish Baroque showpiece where people flock to throw coins into the water – an action which is said to ensure that you’ll return to the city again one day. After lunch, take a step even further back in time as you visit Italy’s unrivalled Roman relics. An optional guided tour of the Colosseum, built in AD 72, comes highly recommended. History comes to life as you imagine yourself witnessing gladiatorial combat inside the spectacular amphitheatre. You may also choose to walk at your leisure around the outside to admire the facade of this ancient wonder. After the Colosseum, get up close to the nearby Arch of Constantine, which dates back to the fourth century AD, then spend some further free time enjoying Rome, sampling the rich and creamy delights of gelato. After some free time you can either visit Basilique Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri (Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Martyrs) near Piazza della Repubblica or head directly to the nearby Mitsukoshi Department store for some serious shopping.
